We have been working with Nova since 2007 and are very satisfied with the partnership. First and foremost, the Nova members in the network are extremely talented – sharp, driven, and with great attitude – and have the right credentials to fit the Arla Foods profile.
Furthermore, the events and activities organized by Nova are always very professional and interesting and they are always striving towards developing the content in close cooperation with us as a partner as well as with the members in the network. This is the key to success for Nova and also what makes them a very good partner in our endeavour to attract and recruit the most talented people to our organization.
did you know that...
Arla Foods is a big international company represented in more than 30 countries and the world´s largest supplier of organic dairy products.
Success story in the UK
For food manufactures like Arla, the UK grocery industry is probably the most competitive and demanding market in which to operate. Today, it is also the company's largest market, contributing over 26 percent of Arla's revenue. Launching new products, acquiring more dairies, merging with other companies and expanding its customer base has seen Arla Foods develop into one of the UK's leading dairy companies. Today, 1,400 British farmers supply their milk directly to the company which is then processed into a variety of products for the UK's largest retailers including ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury’s.
The journey to achieve this position in the industry has been a long one, but Arla's strategy to achieve its objectives has been clear from the beginning. Working in partnership with its customers, a robust portfolio of domestic products, supplemented by strong international brands such as Lurpak, Anchor and Castello, a demanding continuous improvement agenda and a move towards fewer and more efficient dairies have all contributed to improved profitability and better payment to the farmers. Right now, another milestone in the journey to become the leading dairy company in the country is being planned – a new super dairy on the outskirts of London. With a capacity to process one billion kilos of milk, and the ability to supply the whole London area with fresh milk, it will be the most environmentally efficient and modern dairy in the world.
Arla's ambitions for its UK business are very high and long term, so there's no end in sight for the exciting journey we are embarking on in this country. Our presence on the world’s most interesting retail market allows us to gain valuable knowledge which we can apply in all our different markets. At Arla Foods we strive for growth – both for the company and for all our employees. If you are accepted to our trainee programme, Future 15, you have the opportunity to work with us in the UK and contribute to both to Arla's and your own personal development!
